Description
I've been looking at these cliff tops from my kitchen and sun room windows for over four years now, and have become quite familiar with the local Mule Deer herd. We put a ladder up near the top, that we bought from a wonderful artisan who hand makes ladders in Taos, NM. This is a common scene for me here in, Timbercreek Canyon, TX, as I stand at the kitchen sink and wash that last dish after supper, or as I pour that first cup of coffee in the morning. I wanted it to have a real Southwestern feel, almost Mexico. So one afternoon I began this wonderful painting of mystery and color. It's that time in the evening when the junipers look blue and the last rays of sun make the cliffs glow.

Thank you, Joan! It was a risk doing something so different from my normal (do I have a normal style?) style(s). I really had no idea what reactions it would get, if any. Thank you for your encouragement, it's always appreciated...
