Description
Yes! You may have seen this painting featured on the Facebook Group, The Owl Pages. This is how this painting came about: We had an "artist challenge" to the Panhandle Art Center membership to paint owls one month. I fell in love with Pygmy and Desert burrowing owls when I lived in Phoenix, and often saw them perched on cactus along, Camelback Mountain trail, and also perched on fence posts along the rural county roads here in W. Texas, I decided to paint them as some of the species of little owls, giving them each a different personality, like a page from a storybook. I used my photos of Caprock Canyon, TX, as the backdrop and trail. On a side note: This was also a tribute to my late grandmother who died when I was about 10 years old. Her favorite bird was the owl, and she kept several framed pictures of owls in her old farmhouse parlor.
